BBC Radio 2 on line Problem

Hi All

Just arrived in Cyprus for a couple of months. Sorted out internet etc all working fine. However, after day one I was unable to access bbc radio 2 on line whereas intially it was ok. I get the main menu but when I go to listen live I get a message 'The Sound of Silence' Everything else TV, internet all working perfectly. I've tried a number of fixes but have run out of ideas. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm running windows 7.

No problem – Just checked Radio 2, as normally I listen to Radio 3, Radio 4 and the World Service.

MM is my internet supplier and just go http://www.bbc.co.uk, select “More” then “Radio” finally “Station”. This is then followed by a list of all the BBC radio stations.

I'm with MM too, but I have to switch on the VPN supplied to listen to BBC radio channels. I don't know if it's always been like this as I use an app to listen to radio normally on my phone.

Toast Lady. I'm the same as you. If I don't switch on the MM VPN first, all I get is The Sound of Silence message. Have often wondered how other people get round the problem.

Thanks for your helpful replies, great advice. Went onto MM site they have a link to internet radio uk. Now listening to radio 2 plus many more. MM wesite is most helpful

Thanks George Olly, that's really useful when using computer, and not wishing to use VPN.
