is there a flu like virus going round in northern cyprus ????

Our neighbour is just recovering from what he described as a flu like illness.

During past 2 weeks I have known 2/3 people with same symptoms but not enough to put them to bed for week or more, if you have flu will be very, very unwell.

Had it last month, took me three weeks to get over it - it was a present from the wife - she had it a week before me and it took her three weeks to get rid of it as well - the original present was given to us both by one of our visitors from the UK. Moral of the story - go visit them instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There sure is, I've just been floored with it, spending the first week in my bed, which I rarely do. I think symptoms vary between those coming down with it, but mine were swollen glands, sore throat, thumping headache and aching body. Then after about 4 days, loads of catarrh and now a rasping cough and coming into the end of week two!

Definitely not flu, but a bad cold with flu like symptoms.

I wouldn't wish this one on my worst enemy!

Definately English bug. My husband just returned from England with it. Dosed him up, now just waiting for my fate!!!!!

Had flu symptoms for the last 2 weeks so think it going around !
