Wonderful Night at the Mountain View............BUT

Last night went to Mountain View for a talk about "Who Killed Marilyn Monroe" the speaker was brilliant, both informative and food for thought, raised money for a good cause thanks to Brenda and Mike, however the only fly in the ointment was Mountain View it's self by charging over the top for drinks!! I had a local brandy and a small can of 7UP cost 16tl...................c'mon Mountain View if I had shopped around I could of got a litre of brandy and a litre of 7up for that price!!!!

They only had one barman on duty, bless him who had to cope with a line of people, many of the gentlemen that ordered beer had to ask for a glass!! I have never seen so many bottles of water at an event in all my life!!

All I can say is I really enjoyed the event, a lot of effort had been put in by so many people only to be let down by the venue,

Don"t go back,the only way you can win is never go back again,slowly ,slowly these rip off places will vanish hopefully soon.

I have had issues with Mountain View prices before, a case of the barman making up prices as he went along and yes I did complain to the management. I think it is a case of a 3* hotel charging 5* prices.

Must agree with Wookie. Went Friday night, Speaker brilliants, shame about the price of the drinks.
Have been to a few events at M/View this year and note the drink costs seem to be going skyward. A number of my friend now boycott the place because of this. If I go there in future will just get a bottle of water, even at the high cost they charge!

Agree with you all, and the prices very high and are not consistent. Same order can be 2 or 3 Lira dearer, they need to display their prices, 6tl for a Nescafé is ott.
