Catalkoy Belli informed me yesterday that over 4,000 homes in Catalkoy had been without mains water for the past three days - that was after I inquired when I would get water back again as I had not had any mains water since Wednesday the week before. I was told that I would have water again yesterday.

I still wait for this mystical water to be turned back on. I live further up the mountainside beyond the Riding School and just wonder if there is anybody in Catalkoy - apart from the people who work for the water supply - who actually have water today???

I have had no cut off at all. Bufavento Village.

Lucky people - I might just have to move to get a shower - lol. Through the entire year we only get water in the night, it is turned off every morning (manually) at around 06:00 and then turned back on again in the evening at around 18:00! Sometimes over a weekend they don't even bother to turn it back on again so a two day period with no water is quite normal. But now it has been off for over a week which means that either the guy who normally turns it on and off is on holiday or they have just forgotten and given out the 4,000 house excuse! Thanks for the info people.

We have not had any since Friday evening other that briefly yesterday afternoon. BBB has been down to the offices in the village twice now and has been told it is an electrical fault.
Maybe they have not paid the Bill again!

BBB's other half - The Olive Tree road.

Hi we live above the Olive tree hotel in Catalkoy and our water went off on friday afternoon and when İ left the house at 8am it was still still off.İ called at the Belidye on my way down the hill and asked if the water would be back on today and the answer was a shrug!!BBB

After 10 days with no water supply - today the water has been turned back on again!!!!! Great news that the "Electric Problem" or the "Mechanical Failure" has been fixed - more than likely the guy who turns the water on and off has returned from holidays!!

Whatever the reason, we have water again so the smell drifting down the mountainside will now slowly vanish again.

We've no water here, west side of Esentepe Village.
Been 3 complaints about the problem,
will be sorted today, we have been told.
Been off for app 1week now!
