Having followed the news over the last couple of days, wondering if it would be prudent to book flights to NC next summer.

Surely you're not suggesting the Mongol hordes are about to take pot shots at us. Honestly talk about being a dismal Jimmy. Do cheer up. Hopefully you started this thread with your tongue firmly in your cheek.

For the original poster. Do you consider yourself any safer in your (I assume European home) than we who live in the TRNC full time are given the attacks in Paris and threat by the Islamic fanatics to reap the same in other European cities? I would recommend you stay where you are if you consider the TRNC is more at risk than your home.

If we all stop what we normally do, then they have won.

It's all happening in Salisbury these days isn't it, Dippersgirl? I read a few of the other articles as well and was fascinated. I seems a million miles away from life out here doesn't it? I hope local residents fight for the rights of the road sweeper!!

Just came back from Istanbul in the heart of all the threats from Russia. Life was going on as normal. Shopping, food and people still great. Loved every minute of it despite Putins threats of causing tidal waves to wipe out Istanbul. Suggest Putins airforce visit specsavers!

That article in the Salisbury Journal made me laugh, regional newspapers are well known for their hype on national stories. Maybe they should stick to posting local news and events such as this one from the Suffolk Gazette.
