They do use diesel here for heating, the problem is you will pay the going rate as at the pump, there is no concesion for heating oil.
Try your local petrol station for delivery, I know the one opposite the Court yard does deliveries.

when we lived at yesiltepe we used the garage which now has the guaranti cash point and he always asked whether it was for heating and checked we had a boiler but this was back in 2004 when diesel at the pump was .80.

It is just normal Diesel in general it is more economical than gas. (but still to expensive to use long term unless you have a hefty bank balance.)

Most garages have a mini tanker for this purpose, I just go to my nearest filling station and order it in either Lts. or Lira. It is the same price at every garage I believe. But one important factor I always pay the extra for Euro Diesel tried the normal diesel once and the boiler did not like it.

Be careful what you store your oil in. We had a plastic tank and these form condensation in the heat of the summer. We had so many problems with our oil fired heating, not to mention the huge cost of running it, that we have not used it for 6 years. Have a log burner and gas fires instead

We buy our oil for CH from the garage opposite the road going down to the Deniz Kizi hotel. They are very efficient, deliver quickly and make no mess.

Sorry this was pointed out to me by another member about the time lag.
He mentioned that you could have been typing at the same time, I did not check the time you posted, and for that I apologise.
