Does any one know where I can buy a kingsize memory foam or microfibre mattress topper? Any stores in Girne or Lefkosa selling them? Thanks.

Yatsan do not mention mattress toppers on their website, I looked before posting. Does anyone else have any suggestions thank you.

I'd respectfully suggest that you should re-check the website, and, perhaps, consider thanking the member who offered the original response.

Perhaps there's a difference between a mattress and a mattress topper? And then there are mattress protectors....

We bought our double one at Mermaid Fabrics, it's a "Tempur" type and cost 650tl, made an uncomfortable bed comfortable!

We also bought one at Mermaid Fabrics which is east of Girne. Coming from Girne to Catalkoy, it is on the right opposite the first petrol station that you come to.
We bought a tempur type but they do cheaper foam versions. Our new topper has made the bed much more comfortable but I found it quite hot in the summer. Brilliant for now when the weather is colder.

What we English describe as mattress toppers are called mattress protectors here. I think you are referring to the quilted cover put on top of the mattress before the sheet and usually washable. I had two hotel quality ones made by the shop selling towels, bedding etc. in the row of shops by Credit West bank. Good value at 70tl each.

Hi Muffin a mattress topper is different to a mattress protector. A mattress protector does just that protects the mattress and is how you described. A mattress topper is thicker around 3-4 cms deep and contains memory foam or microfibre often inside a washable cover. The foam/fibre makes the mattress more comfortable as it moulds to the body shape.
I have now emailed a couple of companies in TRNC and am waiting an answer.
Thanks again every one

I bought mine in Mermaid fabrics, not the memory foam one but the cheaper version, it has been all over the world and everywhere else I have travelled because I don't like sleeping on mattresses that have had the world and his dog sweating and humping on.
I have had mine a very long time, an excellent investment.
I should have said that mine is a TOPPER not a mattress, it is a couple of inches thick and makes most hotel beds bearable to sleep on, I don't understand why most hotel beds are so hard, I tried the Rocks Hotel years ago and all I can say is its beds are reflected in its name. After one night I needed a wheelchair

Jacob I too have a single topper I take every where. As well as the ones on the beds at home in the UK. I love them.
I have sent an email to Mermaid and will pop in when I am in Girne next week.
As for Sophie and Hot Hippo, my husband who speaks Turkish and English fluently rang Yatsan and the person who answered the phone had no idea what he was talking about.
