Hi does anyone know of somewhere that will repair an NTV Mag 250 box? The box just seems to have given up. I have internet and can get NTV through my computer so it is not the internet or the NTV signal. The tv screen is just plain blue. If i turn off the NTV box via the remote on/off button the tv screen says No Signal. But when i try to turn on again i just get the HDMI sign and then the blue screen. I have tried putting the internet lead into another router socket and tried turning everything off and on again, now i'm stumped!!!!!

NTV box is working again. All i can think of is that the box needs a certain amount of bandwidth before it will work whereas the laptop needs a little less? The box was showing no sign of working until around 6pm last night. The laptop was working for e mails and browsing but when i tried to watch live football it just buffered and stalled. When the NTV on the laptop stopped buffering i again tried the NTV box and it loaded and worked. The speed test i tried showed a download speed of 2.4 ish and an upload speed about the same. Which is normally enough to watch the tv through the box. Just posting this as it may be of interest if anyone should get the same problem.

Been having a dreadful problems with TV reception but its not MM at fault, they have been most help full and have done their best. Two things have been suggested but I have absolutely no idea what on earth they, or I am, talking about. Basically our router is way, way too far away from the TV. In my ignorance I thought all I had to do was plug a laptop into the back of the TV via a HDMI cable and that was that. However, I'm told I have to have a long Ethernet cable (?) running from the back of the router to the back of the TV/laptop. Even if I buy a set top box, I'm told that NTV don't install it, just deliver and some-one else employed to do all the wiring up. I can't move the router because that would mean moving all the gubbins from dish on the roof to inside of the house and moving the whole room furniture around and I don't really want to do that. Is there anyone out there (or a company) who could come to the house, assess the situation, buy the necessary cabling and fix the situation once and for all. It would mean them fixing cable to walls and floor - I don't want cable just wandering all of the floor. Please don't come back and tell me what to do myself and blind me with science!!
