16 Dec | Intersections of crisis: Conflict, gender and migration in Europe’s periphery
"Even as the financial crisis is said to be abating in Europe, another crisis, of refugees from the continent's periphery is becoming ever-pressing. This calls attention to the fact that crisis is never a singular phenomenon. The marginalizations it spurs, or further cements, take place on a number of levels and impact multiple populations. Syrian refugees today are not only fleeing from war, they are also fleeing into societies marred by austerity that has already begun to erode equality and inclusivity in gender and ethnic terms. This roundtable will offer suggestions for exploring this field of complex intersections between conflict, gender and migration."

19 Dec | Digital Tools for Event and/or Project Management

This seminar is mainly intended for people involved in youth projects, cultural productions and school projects. It’s also useful for educators who wish to integrate Project-Based Learning in their teaching.
Main topics to be covered:
- Creating a promotional strategy.
- The Basics of Crowdfunding.
- Social media synchronization for efficient information flow.
- Using QR codes on promotional material.
- Using Google Forms for reservations, bookings, surveys and, generally, for more effective coordination of an event or project where many people are involved.
- Using Google Drive for teamwork and file sharing.
- Useful mobile apps for preparing your own promotional material and for getting organized.
- The uses of customized, interactive maps.

18 Dec | Films on Global Justice

The education organization CARDET in the framework of the project "Global Campus" would like to invite interested parties on a documentary night on the issue of Global Justice. In the night, God is Rain by Why Poverty will be screened to draw attention to the opportunity of the end of the world climate change summit. Discussions over coctails will follow.
