UK Self Assessment Tax Form Completion /UK Property.

Hi folks, I am just trying to complete my Self assessment tax return and have stumbled into a problem relating to my person allowance, it appears that if you are non resident then you are no longer entitled to a UK personal allowance. Can anyone assist me with this as it will make a massive impact on any income from the UK. Estimates are that a married couple would be liable for an extra £4000 tax bill.
Anyone who has a UK income / income from UK property should look into this.

If anyone is up to date on this or can advise or assist, please contact me on 0533 8412305 or email philyesil@gmail.com

Thanks in anticipation!

I have been an expat since 1974. I have a UK income. I use an accountant. I have a UK personal allowance. Get professional help. Hope that helps.

There was a proposal from the government a while ago to withdraw the personal allowance for ex-pats, but I don't think it has been implemented yet. Don't worry, it will.

I still seem to have my personal allowance.

Please find the link below. As far as I know, it is still under discussion. I suspect that it (or something similar) will be implemented at some point.
