am looking for a good car mechanic for a mate of mine. karsiyaka, lapta or alsancak would be good.

We have lived here for 8 years and always used Farac Garaj. Not a one man band and has done servicing, shocks, brakes, radiator and other necessary jobs to keep an old Pajero going. Would thoroughly recommend him and we would never go anywhere else. He also speaks English. You will find him at the top on the left of the road that goes to Kervan restaurant and the Merit (old Mercure) Hotel.

Have always used Ziggy who is down towards the Merit Crystal Cove. Excellent service and good English (London Cypriot)

I have also used several over the years . most of them not good, with the exception of Tem Garage just before Girne on left hand side coming from Lapta they are very good for normal routine service.

But the best I have found is Mustafa at Mercar. Just before the speed camera at Escape beach on the left heading towards Girne. Speaks perfect English. I had some serious problems with our 4x4 and he was the only person in 8 years to rectify them properly and take the time and trouble to get the correct parts and do a proper job. 0533 860 3784.
