Is the extra expense worth it for the following usage?
Cooling for about 50 nights and very little use of the heating. All figures are estimates.
Inverter a/c or not?

We would say absolutely worth it.
They are very efficient and we dont worry how much we use ours now as they use so little electric.
Bought ours from the Grundig shop at the bottom of GAU hill.
Supply and fit the same day!

Definitely,

See this thread - we used same company and could not be happier with the unit. Very quiet in use and works really well both heating and cooling.

It's all about usage (getting your extra money back)cambridge wrote:Is the extra expense worth it for the following usage?

If you don't use it enough you will never recover the extra cost. The amount of usage you describe will not be enough to get your money back in a reasonable time.
If used summer and winter it could take you 3 years approximately.
