Follow up on Tatlisu dog pound

I have just taken this from Hope4Pets, can any body offer some help ......



Here is an update on the Tatlisu dog pound. You may remember that the feeding area is totally open to the elements, meaning the dogs and their food get absolutely drenched when it rains. The Baskan said several months ago that he would get the roof fixed but nothing has been done. He said he's too busy now but may do something in a few months time! However, he also said they did not own the land, he just uses it and he didn't know how long the dogs would be there. He clearly isn't interested in their plight.
Tammie Older, myself and a friend of Suzan are donating funds towards the roof being fixed. Hopefully it will be enough to cover the costs. I have managed to find a very kind man who would like to offer his time for free, but obviously needs to see for himself what needs to be done, before committing himself. He will be going to the pound on Thursday with Suzan to ascertain what can be done, and to provide costs for the materials. If all is ok, he said he could probably rustle up a few volunteers to help him.
Fingers crossed that these poor dogs will be made a bit more sheltered from the elements soon.
