Does anyone know a reliable gas bottle delivery company that delivers to Girne? Also the cost of the tall,large gas cylinders(for central heating etc) She was quoted 250 tl and thinks that is a lot more than she paid last winter. Thanks

You will be very lucky to find a company to deliver gas bottles. I have searched everywhere without success.

Intergaz and Jetgaz delivery the tall blue gas bottles and they cost 250TL each

Will these companies deliver the domestic size gas bottles?

Regular gas bottles can be delivered by Troodos Su along with water.

Where are Troodos, we haven't found anyone in the Alsancak area that will deliver the smaller gas bottles, despite the fact that we buy 4 at a time.

Just for information: Supreme supermarket sell replacement gas bottles (45Kg) for 180TL so charging an additionally 70TL for delivery is just a rip off! A small niche in the market for anyone with a car/4X4 big enough to take a large gas bottle maybe???? I get one in the back of my estate but they are HEAVY and I am getting to old to lug them about now so sorry but will not deliver.

Sophie: as you are Alsancak area, it might be worth asking Ileli if they would deliver gas bottles. Always found them to be endlessly helpful and they will certainly deliver shopping.

Thanks for that, will give them a go. As Waddo has said, there is definitely an opening for someone who would be prepared to deliver bottles, regardless of size. Back in the day when properties were small, flat "bungalow" type it was probably OK, but now that people live in flats or properties with steps up to front door or kitchen back doors are tucked around the other side, it really is becoming extremely difficult for those of us of a "certain age"

Sadık Tuccaroğlu will deliver 10 Kilo gas bottles (he says the cost changes frequently about 40TL) plus 10TL delivery charge EAST of Girne in Karakum area (Ozankoy, Bellap.,etc)

Delivery charge for 45 kilo bottle is 50TL per bottle.

The problem is finding someone to deliver the smaller gas bottles (to fit the gas fire).

Getting the bottle for the gas fire is easy enough as the supermarkets put them in the car its getting them from the car to inside the house that is the problem for me!

Yes that is the point and why we need someone to deliver as these bottles are heavy to carry up flights of stairs particularly when you are aged 80 plus!!!

Something like this stair trolley would make it a bit easier - note the wheel arrangement. Aldi UK were selling some last year for about £30.
