Various vaccinations are injected by my local TRNC pharmacy, but he says that typhoid vaccine is not available in the North. Is it available in the South and where from? (pharmacy/doctor/hospital)

Ozbey. the pharmacist is correct in saying the vacine is not available here in the North as Dr Bahadir here at Kolan has just checked for me. As far as we know you will have to see a Dr in the South who will write you a prescription for the vaccine.

I've always considered that by and large TC's are not exactly world travellers are they? Typhoid jabs are needed in more and more countries these days.

In 2012 we had Typhoid jabs at the Old General Hospital in Nicosia (ROC).
Went to the outpatients dept one morning - no appointment - and had it done there and then.
Unfortunately cannot remember the name of the doctor, but he was helpful and advised us also on Yellow Fever (for Tanzania).
Hope this helps.
