hAVEN'T GOT A CLUE WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. wHAT NEW LAYOUT. i DIDN'T SEE AN ANNOUNCEMENT AND i STILL HAVE MY SUPER LOVELY FRIEND PURPLE PAGE.

(sorry caps stuck in the cold).

I did log out twice and login again but I am glad that I sitll have my super purple with the same layout. So...............what is it all about.

You will only see the new layout if you are logged out or logged in and have you board style set to Metro green in user control panel - board preferences, I think.

BTW Soner could we have a direct link to 'advanced search' somewhere on the new layout ? You can still get to it but first have to use the 'basic' search box' and then you can go to 'advanced search'. If it is already there and I can not see it apologies in advance. Thanks.

The new layout is Green. The old layout style (called hestia) was and is available in green / blue or purple. The new style (called Metro) is currently only available in Green.

It looks like this

To change you style from one of the old (hestia) layout style to the new (metro green) style you need to go to

user control panel

board preferences

and then select 'my board style' from the drop down menu.

and then submit your changes

Tried to put in a screen shot of mine, but I am obviously an idiot and it says 'the extension png is not allowed'. So take my word for it that i have logged out and logged in and turned around and done it again, and still I am with my lovely purple. I guess when I do get the new page I have lost my favourite colour. That makes me a very unhappy bunny.

Maybe one day my computer will join the new brigade, but for now it is still old school.

Erol, see top left of page above Kibkom logo.

Marion, you will have option of pink or blue as well as the green once new version has been installed.

Design is much nicer and easier on the eye, as well as having better functions, ie uploading YouTube videos. Also, trying to improve loading of images.

Should be completed by next week.

On the new Board Preference I've chosen the colour Metro Teal, no probs, but can't see a "like" button, is that facility gone now?

I might like it if I could get it. So I am staying with what i have. I have logged out so many times and logged in again that I am getting totally bored.

No doubt in due course it will all sort itself out.

And to Erol "Yes, I really really really have logged out and logged in, searching for the web page each time.

Old styles will be removed next week.
Marion you need to go to your user control panel and change colour from there.

Nothing wrong with my colour. Happy with it but that is because it is still the old style page. When my computer decides to change then i will change the colour.

I'm in Metro Teal and the "like" button is only showing on your messages Soner, not on others.

I can see it using Google Chrome, but not when I use Firefox 43.0.4 or 44.0 (it just updated while I was typing!)

Looks like you sorted it ?

Before in metro teal, I could see 'results' such as '1 like' but could not see the thumbs up icon on any posts. Now (and having cntrl f5 to force re download of entire page) I can see both fine.

Go to User Control Panel - Board Preferences - select "my new style" - Metro Violet Red / blue / teal or green and then submit?

If you want to change again, note that User Control Panel link in New format is at vey top of page around mid area.

Using Firefox (again) but not Chrome, I occasionally find that the first character of the heading is missing a bit at the left hand side...

Well here I am again, (much to some peoples dismay I suspect) 5 mins or so later, in full glorious Teal. It'll be a while before I get used to looking on the opposite side of the page to see Avatars etc All appears to be OK! Am on Windows 7 and have Internet Explorer (oldies but goodies) . I may change from Teal when I'm working by artificial light.
