Update on Pension Reforms in UK

A few weeks back this topic came up about women having to wait longer to claim their State Pension in UK. This week there have been debates in UK Parliament and Pensions Minister, Baroness Ros Altmann talking in front of the Select Committee explaining the changes and the confusion it caused.

The view I take after listening to Baroness Ros Altmann is that it's our fault that we did not understand the changes and that the public did not tell DWP where they were living at the time letters went out.

This from a woman who was running SAGA and left(pushed) to pursue an independent career helping people with Pensions, associated with Age UK saying that the Government had misled people, joined the Labour Party and the Liberal Party and eventually offered a position with the Conservative Party (because of her expertise in Pensions) as the Pensions Minister and then she was made Baroness by David Cameron.

The video needs to be started at the time of16:00 and within the first 10 minutes the issue of Pension changes is explained together with the misunderstanding of the new flat rate.
