I have booked a return flight with Pegasus airlines and have just been that the aircraft is very cramped (sardine can). I usually fly with turkish airlines and they are great. I have booked a late night flight from Stanstead to Ercan arriving approx 7.00 am. My question is, does the plane touch down in Turkey and the passengers disembark or do the passengers have to stay onboard in the sardine can?

Thanks in anticipation

All flights not originating directly from Turkey have to land in Turkey first. You do not leave the plane normally around 45 mins/60 mins wait, customs may come onto the plane to check your passport and airline ticket.

Why not treat yourself to reserving a seat with extra leg room. Cost, I think is 45tl but well worth it. Row 16 and 17 I think, - i always go for 16A . I have long enough legs, but do not find it a problem is flying by day or short distance, but if by night, then it is worth being able to stretch out.

Probably, Marion, because they will put someone else in your booked and paid-for seat, as they did with us.

Marion it is row 15 and 16 ...row 15 does not recline though and 16 does although 15 has the disadvantage of not reclining (because exit behind) it does have the advantage of not having children kicking you in the back .

I have always booked extra leg room and always had my allocated seat with no problem.

oops, sorry. I book 16A on the advice of a friend who works for Pegasus, so got the numbers wrong. yes, I recall that my last flight there was a guy in front (extra leg room) who was obviously given it when checking in. He didn't like it cos he could not leave his bag on the floor in front of him and did not have the regular seat tray - so he moved. talk about you can't please them all. I don't normally put my seat back anyway, as I hate it when done to me and it dislocates my knee caps! so know wha tyou mean about kicking children though.

By the way, I had to change planes cos \I was going to italy, so paid only for seat on second leg of journey (more money on the Italian leg)(pardon the pun on leg room, and leg of journey!), but I found my time in Istanbul airport was fab. Great duty free items, got a great breakfast going and a great salad coming back, and used the internet to connect with the world.

No complaints at all.
