Terry, that is quite a difference, but are you sure the second readings were accurate? What is the alternative to using petrol station guages/airlines, any idea?

I went to the guy next to teachers hotel he has the tyre shop good prices and can also do tracking and wheel alignment he has the best equipment I have seen over here and is very diligent in his work tracking was 70 ytl he has a proper gauge to measure pressure. 0542 8517633 speaks perfect English. Told me to come in every month and he will check them for me. I was quoted 275 in three garages for my tyres his were not the Chinese ones and were 200 ytl

Surely the simplest solution is just to carry your own tyre gauge in the glovebox of your car?

I've got two in mine, one with an electronic readout, and an old style metal one about the size of a pen. (Guess what the 'traditional' one is actually more accurate). I find you need to check tyres more often here than in the UK, especially if you drive on tracks etc. There seem to be an abundance of petrol stations, so its not difficult to put air in when you fill up with fuel.

As you say carry your own but most people trust the Guatemalan in the garage I was trying to point out how dangerous this is as the wrong pressures can cause serious accidents.
