The past 2 Sundays a Documentary on Greece with Simon Reeve has been shown and gives a good insight into the Greeks attitude towards the problems they have. It's not a travel programme but some stunning scenery in the 2nd episode.
It's on BBC Catchup and hopefully you can watch it. I hope you can see the 2nd episode,
but beware there is a distressing scene regarding the capture of bears, especially one small bear.

I have been watching it Dalarokat, and it is certainly quite an eye-opener as to how Greece got into the mess it is in. And yes, very sad about the bear. It's a beautiful country, but some of the aspects a very disturbing, not least the way they get away with treating the migrant workers paid 22 euros per day. Obviously, it is slave labour, which they get away with, and then in the next breath, we hear that something like 75% of the young population is out of work......what's going on?????? You really cannot see how it will all end....the opposite ends of the pole, poverty versus wealth are tragic and shameful. Worth watching to learn a bit more about the attitudes indeed.

Thanks for brıngıng that to attentıon - I had not meant to watch thinking it was another travel programme, but I have now just watched the first half and it is certainly thought provoking - and what about that land fill site : and we thought we had problems with rubbish! I just hope politicians here and in Turkey are watching the programmme and and learning what to avoid
