Can some give me directions to office or address in Lefkosa where you go to change owners name on the a vehicle log book from Girne.?
whats the current stamp required?

I think that you'll find all the information about the location here - I don't know the cost, but you will need a Muhtar's letter, and the seller's or original owner's I.D. when you go to do the change of name - and they will need to present themselves at the Muhtar's at the same time as you, to get the letter, unless you or someone else has Power of Attorney.

If it's not a simple 'sale' or transfer, then you will need to ask your Muhtar's advice.

I did find an old post by 'wanderer' here that gave directions.

On another, later thread, there is a comment "turn left at the turkcell offices before the Merit." - so the 'Old CTA office' may well be a Turkcell office now...

...and while I was at it, I saw that a (2014!) post said that a 3TL stamp was required - although I'm sure that it will be more now, and posts variously stating a transfer fee of 124TL or 200TL ??? - it may have depended on how many names were required (e.g. joint names) but it was unclear - to me, at least

'waddo' did say that he was going to find the co-ordinates, but he may have been distracted by something more interesting (probably the sight of food ).

This will probably spur him into action though...

You can also get the formed signed by a Noter and the transfer fee depends on the vehicle but I think the top end is 235tl.

Its just off the main road from the Kyrenia roundabout to Ledra Street near the Merit Hotel.

To be honest, I would get the girls in the driving school - first one on the left as you enter the police station road in Girne - to do this for you. They don't charge much, they are very helpful and will get it all done very quickly. It's a small price to pay to avoid all the hassle!

Does anyone know the cost of the stamp that is needed for transfer of ownership?

There is a wide area map with the big roundabout that you reach when coming from Girne at the top left, and the Vehicle licensing office marked by a red circle at the bottom right.

The second map shows the location in detail, and also the Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Immigration department, where you go for your 'Residency' (Visitor's Visa).

The Vehicle licensing office is at map coordinates 35.1921172, 33.3520595 on Google Earth.
