Can I please ask anyone of you to help the eight dogs that are in the 'pound' at Tatlisu.
They are all about 20k plus and are suffering with ticks and are in need of more food.
We are being asked if we could get Frontline or something similar for them.
Any help from us even in a small way would make a big difference and help these dogs enormously.
If anyone can help, you can contact me or I believe the DVD shop at Catalkoy are taking in any donations still.
If you just say it is for Tatlisu because unfortunately there are so many animals needing our help.

I did donate some flea and tick collars for them. Do they need any more?

Suzan has posted asking for Frontline or similar.
She is saying that they have had donations of collars which they have put on but she stills needs the extra help for them.
Maybe they were so badly infested the collars have not been able to cope or stop the infestation.
Also she is saying she is running out of food for them and the only regular weekly supply is of leftover bread, rice etc.
If you can help them - anyone?

I live in Lapta; can donate some very large bags of pasta if that helps. I go into Girne on a Saturday if someone could meet me in the main car park at the roundabout near the Colony.

I work in the NCCCT shop The Hut on a Saturday morning which is by the side of the main car park, behind the Law Court and General Post Office.
I will be there from 9.15am till 12.30pm.
Would it be possible for you to drop them in or I could Pop out and meet you in the Car Park?

Are these the dogs that have escaped the compound and made way to Kyrenia ?

No kiplet, a separate pound located just outside Tatlisu. The dogs in this pound are in a very sorry state and have been voluntarily helped by a few very kind people. There is another pound in Gazimagusa, again looked after by a few kind-hearted folk. We also feed, water and found a kennel and bedding for another dog (Monty) outside the Tempo Supermarket just past Esentepe. Feral animals here are a major problem, which successive governments have failed to address.

Just a note, a large bag of dog food has been dropped off at the DVD shop. If someone could collect when passing, that would be great!!!!

Can someone please tell me how to delete PM's as I have a new one about the dogs and the folder is full and won't allow me to open the new message.

Go into messages, it should display a list of messages received, on right hand side of each message is a mark box, tick that box in each message you wish to delete. Then scroll down to bottom of messages and you will see a box with 'Mark/unmark as important' plus a downward arrow, click on the downward arrow on right and select 'Delete marked' then click go. You can Mark all with the option under this box then delete.

You can do the same with messages sent.

Just a quick update.
We have managed to be able to buy 6pkts of 3 applications of spot on tick/flea treatment which seems to be very expensive out here plus 2 x 15 kilos bags of Dog Food for the Tatlisu dogs.
These are being collected tomorrow about mid-day by a fellow Kibkomer from Altay at Vetpoint and then given to Suzan in the afternoon.
If there is anyone else who would like to drop a donation off for the dogs in the morning - Please do!
So pleased because these dogs have nothing.
