' A ' NEGATIVE Blood Urgently required - Please .

This is a personal appeal to all fellow Kibkomers who have 'A' Negative Blood.
A close friend is under going surgery on Monday at the Near East Hospital, Lefkosia and we have been informed by the family that 'A' Negative blood is urgently needed.
Is there anyone with this blood group that could be a donor?

I am A negative .. If they will take the blood, willingly give it .. Not so sure as 76 is looming ..

I gave blood at the Near East Hospital on Wednesday for the first time (ever) so as a result, I cannot help on this occasion, except to say (in the hope that it may encourage Kibkomers to help your friend) that it was a very positive experience.

The Hospital is very modern and clean (as you would expect). The staff were very courteous and helpful. After completing the form, the actual process of giving the blood took about ten minutes. It was painless. There were no side effects (other than feeling a bit tired that evening.)

Extra Info: As I understand the situation, you must be aged 60 or less and there are some other qualifying/disqualifying criteria, but if you feel the urge to help, visit the Hospital and complete the form and they will advise you.

Helping someone in their hour of need by giving blood turned out to be one of the most self-gratifying things that I have done (in my life) and is something that I would recommend that everyone should try at least once
