Returned to Cyprus and just discovered that the water and gas shop between Pork Shop and Starling is closed and empty.

The shop was run by the Yesiltepe Muhtar.

Does anyone know if the shop has moved to other premises and if so where?

Now located in the car park of the old Ravine Restaurant, it's in a portakabin.

...and it seems to be the son who is in charge, when I've gone there.

I think that he is friendly with the people at 'The Ravine' or whatever it is called now, so if he isn't around, just blow your horn!

A couple of times, I've had to help myself, and leave the cash inside the cabin - I've mentioned that to him, and he was fine with it...

It seems they're moving to a new shop which they told me was' near the Army camp' if anyone can identify that location.

Could he be referring to the camp just before Kyrenia when travelling east from Lapta etc?

If he's going that far from Alsancak then he would be going for the Girne market.

It could equally be any of the other army camps!

It would be nice for you if it was the Karsiyaka one

Plenty of empty Shops to choose from.

I always go to the Man in the plant and animal food shop next to the Shboom bar for my water and gas. They are always very helpful and carry to car etc. I thiink the shop is called YEMCI which means food seller (I think)
