Lots of them in the trees in the mountains above Catalkoy and have seen some today crawling over a wall - nowhere near pine trees either. Last year I found them nesting in long grass as well. Keep a good eye out for them and keep your dogs on leads when out walking, very dangerous to pets!!

We have lots also in Alsancak. As I understand, after leaving the nest & doing the procession bit they gather into a nest, bit like a cow pat before they go separate ways. I have actually killed 3 of thes type of gatherings this year. As is said very dangerous to pets & not too clever with humans if the hairs are ingested.

Just replied on the other thread, they are VERY dangerous to pets. Our neighbours dog very nearly died a few days ago. Had to go on a drip, and very poorly. Another half hour and he would have been dead, so the vet said. He either ate, or tried to eat one. Be careful, they are very dangerous.
