Hi,

Has anyone been down and checked on the progress (or lack of it!!) of the new Esentepe beach area?

When we were out in January the workmen told us it would be ready in April-but didn't specify which April!

I'm hoping it's almost complete-but maybe that's a bit over optimistic.

Drove by 2 weeks ago. Sorry to say it has a long way to go yet.

We walk past there nearly everyday with our dogs and I would say personally they are doing well down there usually working six days a week. They have tiled the patio area and put in steps to the cafe, tiled the roof terrace to the cafe, built stone walls around various areas, five a side sand pitch usable, this week they have the diggers down there taking the old concrete from the beach. I am optimistic that this will be up and running this year perhaps not April but quite possibly may. If you want I can send you some photos if you want to send me your email address.

When we drove by on a weekday there was no one around and no work being carried out. Having seen what was done in 2015 we were hoping more progress would have been made, but hopefully they are cracking on with the job as summer approaches.

Where is Esentepe beach, is it near turtle beach.

It's further east. down by the Tempo Supermarket which is past Esentepe as you head east

I wouldn't want to put you to any trouble. We're due out in five weeks and I'm hoping to be surprised!!

We may have to cancel our planned trip due to health issues-if we are unable to make it could I trouble you for a photo or two then?
