Please advise the procedure for registering a rental contract, where to go and what documents are required. Thanks in anticipation.

It is done at the tax office in Girne, the same one as deals with road tax etc. Take it to the desk straight ahead from the door in the middle of the room. They will record it and give you a slip of paper to take to the first window in the row to the left of the door. You need to have the original and 1 copy. The lady there will tell you how much to pay and stamp the contracts, returning one to you.

Thank you for your reply. Went today and got it sorted. For future reference copies of the kocan and the owners' passports are required.

I did it 6 weeks ago and didn't need kochan or owner details.... Maybe it's who you get on the day!!!!

Ha ha typical. Haven't actually done it yet so we will see!
