Just wondered if anyone could advise about high bills now its for a flat not lived in apart from 2 or 3 days every couple of months we have paid 100th for 3 months to keep in credit but when paying this month there was 82tl owing? I tried to ask but did not get any answer I think it was near lunch time!

It sounds like you have a leak or someone is stealing your water, check all your toilets indoors & your storage tanks, presumably you have one main tank ground level & hot & cold ones on the roof.

If you have a water meter then the high bill should be nothing to do with water usage.
Sounds like it could be the annual property tax since we are now in April.
Ours is 185TL per six months.
Your 100 + 82 outstanding is a similar sum.

Paul 90 could be right, but it could also be the fees for street cleaning and the Lapta Medical Center. In this case on the left side of the small blue receipts you should have received is typed "TMZ " and "SAGLIK". The receipt for the property tax is different, it is a full DIN A 4 paper saying on top "TAHRIRE ILISKIN" .
In case you have paid for water they would have asked for your card to fill it up but I doubt it.

I forgot: In case you paid for property tax apart from the DINA 4 paper you also will get a small blue receipt paper, typed on the left side "TASINMAZ".
On the small receipt for water "SU" is typed on the left. It means for all these different matters a separate small blue sheet is issued and given to you

'Emlak Vergisi' or annual property tax is charged this month. As we don't get bills anymore (those of us with smart meters) this will come up when you pay this month's charge. It could be that which is making the difference.
