Border Insurance

I know this topic comes up often. We have crossed at Metehan and know the process for getting car insurance for the south. The Kibkom search facility does bring up a lot of responses but they are mainly about crossing at Metehan.

We want to try and use a different crossing this time, either Beyamudu (Pergamos) or the Ayios Nikolaos (Black Knight). Both crossings are onto the Sovereign Base Area. Is there an insurance office at these locations where we can purchase insurance? Also has anyone crossed recently and do they know the cost for a days and a months insurance?

Feel free to to pm or email direct if you prefer.

Cheers

Have not been either route for some time but as I remember there is an insurance office at the Beyamudu crossing point as I have used it once myself, the insurance was available but only for a minimum of a month, which I believe is the same at all points anyway.

Can't help more than that - sorry. I normally pick the month when I will go "motoring" and buy a single month at Metahan then do all my traffic avoidance and speed camera dodging in the South in that month! Good luck there are some magic new roads down there, all you have to do is find them.

Both crossings have insurance booths. Minimum cover is one month @ €25 or YTL equivalent at time of purchase.
