Would anyone know where live Daphnia could be purchased in n Cyprus ?

I remember feeding this stuff to my newts when I was a kid, but sorry - no idea.

Oh well. Looks like I'll have to do it the old fashioned way, and go searching ponds with net and jam jar !

No daphnia, no wireworms - poor tropical do a real starve in Cyprus!

While breeding Siamese Fighting fish here, I made the mistake of substituting the above with local mosquito larvae - they poisoned and killed those fish that were fed with it - so, beware!

Mosquito larvae prey on small fish as stated above, so they're not much fun in or out of the water. It makes you wonder what purpose they serve! Do they do any good at all? Answers on a postcard please.
