Can anyone recommend a company that delivers water for swimming pools in Karsiyaka. Please. Also can you give me an idea of how much they charge per ton and how many tons do you have to buy when they deliver. I'm new to this area. davidandmicheleb@gmail.com

I forget exactly how much they charge but their largest lorry is probably as cheap as you will get anywhere.

In 2015 they charged 6TL per tonne, 12 tonnes at 72TL or 20 tonnes at 120TL.
But when the "shortage" hit in September they increased it to 8TL per tonne.

No shortage at the moment so I'm sure you could negotiate 120TL for 20 tonnes, blooming good if you ask me - you wouldn't get that in the UK

I do wish the tanker drivers quote by the lorry load and only ton when it is easy to say yes that is 4 ton etc. Had too many discussions with owners over the years and generally the weight quoted is gross not actual carrying load.
I am not having a moan at the tanker drivers because they do require to cover their running and living costs too,

We always use Salim, 0533 844 3313, very reliable, speaks good English, and very reasonable. Used him for the last 6 years, I don't think you will be disappointed. He lives in Karsiyaka as we do.
He also provides a taxi service.

You won't need a taxi, they usually deliver it!

Phoned him this morning about 9am, water delivered about 9.30am, same price as last year and the year before. Can't complain about that. He provides most of our street.

50 tl for approximately 5/6 ton.
