Kavanlar 5 vandalism.

Absolute scum! We are looking after our friends apartment on Kavanlar 5. We were there watering last Saturday,in between then & 08-30 this morning,some scum bag has been onto his roof terrace,cut down 2 of his Yukka plants,2 grape vines,borgainvilia shrubs & stolen 2 pot plants! They have not been here since Early December last year! What piece of absolute scum would do this sort of thing?! Absolute total t**ts!. Hopefully will find out who did this,they will be sorry!

Did you report it to the police?
They often have an idea who is out and about 'nicking stuff' - and if they are at a suspects house, quizzing him about something else & spot the plants, it will make them very happy, and give them something with which to pressurise him!
It might also save someone else from having their stuff stolen.

Been to Polis,they came to take a look & details. They saw the ex-pat who lives in opposite apartment & are going to go see the two remaining residents later. I have informed the owner,who to say the least is very upset,especially as he hasn't been here since Dec last year. Total pointless vandalism!

I know one shouldn't yearn for yesteryear, but its times like this that I wish we could go back to the TRNC of 10 years or more ago. Back then it would have been totally unheard of. That and leaving doors and windows unlocked. Cars unlocked etc, etc.

I remember when we visited two years ago, there were a couple from the midlands in the apartment next door (on long(ish)-term rent), little daughter told us "We had to come quickly one night, Grandma is coming, but not yet because the Police are watching her".... One night the police knocked on our door, looking for a couple with children - we directed them to next door...

Well after showing local plod damage. Guess what.one of the main suspects.................... yes hes a cop! Oh,yes,if you water the shrubs & vines,they will grow again! Really?! FFS! Beggars belief!
