Sand in bags

Does anybody know a Builders Merchant that sells sand in bags most of the ones I have tried what to deliver a Lorry load, I only want some for a smallish job .

Gepaz in Alsancak sell a ready-mix mortar - not sure about sand.

I think that any of them will happily fill a suitable container if you take one along - they just don't have it already bagged...

I have a half a load of that gray cement/sandy stuff they use here. If anyone wants to take it away I would be grateful as its surplus to requirements and in the way. Alsancak

A few of the builders merchants along the Karakum / Çatalköy road sell sand in bags either the grey stuff or the yellow sand. Çobam merchants have it out the front on pallets but make sure you get the right colour for your job.

When I need smallish amounts, I go to Gunhayin (!) He has an office on the end of the block opposite Stroll Inn. I take an empty Dust bin or two, pay 10 - 15 Tl then go and fill the bins myself from his yard by the speed camera opposite Al Shaheen. Bit of a pain but quick and no need for half a lorry load.
I fill the bins when they are in the back of my car and "decant " it out when I get home. Good exercise as well!!!

The Yapi next to china Bazaar have the bags you can fit in boot of your car they also deliver the large tonne bags
