Shower chair or stool

My mums visiting for 6 weeks, she's in a wheelchair. I have always just used a plastic chair in the shower but she's getting a bit older now and I'd like something a bit stronger as the plastic chair bends a bit in the warm water.
Does anyone have one that they would lend or sell?

I would not recommend any form of stool as it will not offer spinal or core support. Have you thought of using multiple stacked plastic chairs, as this would offer a more stable platform?

She is fine with a stool as long as it has the handles on the side. Sitting is not a problem more her balance.
Have tried two chairs together they work ok but was hoping for something a little better.

If balance is her major problem, even more reason not to trust a stool. As I said before, they do not offer core body support and if she requires handles on one, how does she manipulate soap or shower gel, shampoo and water, towel etc? Imbalance problems require the widest possible base and a non-slip surface of whatever she uses in order to minimise the possibility of overturning whatever she sits on. I would suggest some non-slip matting on the tiles and multiple, sturdy, plastic chairs, which could be tied to reinforce them if necessary. You could also, of course, seek the advice from owners of disability provision suppliers here for bespoke shower equipment.

You may find one in the medicalist (not sure of spelling) shop opposite Girne State Hospital. They sell all things like crutches, wheelchairs, back/neck supports all that sort of thing. Worth a look.

Thank you Nurseawful, but a chair would be better, usually the toilet chairs are a bit tall and she's very short.
Using a plastic chair at the moment with metal legs, it seems to be doing the job.
