Yes, lots of the shops have it. Usually beside uht milk it's in blue and white cartons, can't remember brand but must say in English that it's lactose free. We buy it from Supreme and Erdener when my daughter's over.

Well, it says 'Milk' on the carton, and it is most definitely 'Lactose - free'.

My neice who is Lactose Intollerant survives on it...

I'm going out later, will try to find out the brand. Think it comes in half litre cartons.

The supermarkets have a lactose free milk by KOOP, it is in a blue pink and white carton, and says lactose free on it. It is cheaper than the soya milk, I use it all the time as I am lactose intolerant. It is usually by all the other milk.

More and more of the Supermarkets are selling Lactose free milk i.e. Soy, Almond and Rice. Just check on the protein content, you might need to supplement that a tad. Hold your head up high KC. You're inevitably right!!

Well, not 100% right in this case...

Although Soya milk is lactose free, Wikipedia advises that it is possible to remove some/most of the lactose from ordinary cow's milk (and other mammal's milk).

I shall pass on that info to my niece, and she can try it if she's so inclined.

Thanks for your support though!

And thanks to come_on_aylin and mrsgee for the heads up!

Did check and as mrsgee says, it's by Koop, product information on one side is in English. 1 litre for 4.5 TL in Supreme beside all the other types of milk.

My daughter also keeps a supply of lactase tablets so she can occasionally eat products (we're talking chocolate here) with lactose in them.
