No crossing point at Pyla (Pila) ergo no insurance office there. The telephone number for the insurance office at Beyamadu (Pergamos) is 05488201108 (Ayisha) and she speaks good English. This thread has been covered many times before and could have been covered by researching the 'Search' facility of this forum.

Thank you for the phone number .I knew when I was asking this question someone would probably say its been asked many times before but must admit I was feeling lazy and thought asking was the quicker option..

Hence many posters recognise your laziness and refuse to help - I was also so tempted.

Nermal, you have shot yourself in the foot now, your name will be in so many long standing Forum members memories. Honestly the Search on this forum is excellent and you can save yourself a lot of aggro if you look things up for yourself!!

Yours was a perfectly reasonable request, but unfortunately some of the 'Cyprus44 mentality' is now infecting this forum.

I've always found Rabiyah at this crossing very helpful. I'm sorry I've mislaid her card, but she is opposite the car park on the other side, and h as a sign on her house Dagli insurance I think).
Oh and I Call it Pyla/Pile too!

I'm sure you do, why not Dhekelia or even Larnaca? Yet another expat imposing their view/imperfect knowledge on locals. Why on earth did you drag up C44?
nermal, of course the forum is designed to help, but it is also designed with a search facility to help yourself. If then you cannot find the information, by all means seek others' assistance stating you have tried the search facility.

tomsteel, I feel your initial response to the poster was like a schoolmaster scolding a child. Not nice. The information you provided was quite correct, although many people refer to it as the Pyla crossing. In general the search facility is excellent and I've used it successfully many times. There are occasions though when the information it reveals is quite old and perhaps out of date. Finally, since you were so pedantic about the name of the crossing it would have been nice if you could spell Beyarmudu correctly. Have a nice day.

Your interpretation of my post is, obviously your prerogative and thank you for my spelling lesson. Incidentally, your use of 'nice' in relation to spelling is grammatically incorrect. Shooting one's own foot springs to mind. It matters not if hundreds of expats mistakenly call it Pyla or Pila, the fact is they are wrong and cannot change the name of the actual, geographical, crossing point even should they so wish. That decision rests with Cypriots, not British expats. Have a good day yourself!
