Ipad proplem

Turned my Ipad on this morning, all I got was a black screen with a small picture of a bell with ringer, any advice please.

Check the switch on the side of the ipad by the volume buttons and make sure it is completely one way or the other and not in the middle. It is possible that it maybe in just a right spot to toggle volume/silent. Another thing could be the pressing of the volume buttons themselves, for instance if the ipad is on some sort of stand that puts it volume button down. Try laying it the other way.

Try to reboot by holding in the off switch left hand side of volume buttons and the big control button right hand side of screen at same time for 5 seconds this will reset the I pad then use as normal
