In the last month we have crossed at Ledra Palace walking across there and back10 times
Various reasons but often we have the same person on the roc side in over half of them
Slopply dressed chewing gum taking phone calls whilst dealing with you chatting away with her work colleagues obviously doesn't want to be there total disregard for who is in front of her
Today we crossed back half an hour latter Vicky Popadopalus (Pollard In Greek ) still wasn't "bovered "
TRNC side very polite efficient and a smile smartly dressed

Are you talking about the larger lady? She really is a disgrace, I think she needs to try and smile more!

Take a walk along Makarios Avenie and see all the closed up shops in a street that used to be buzzing and you will see why most people are full of doom and gloom on the 'wonderful EU' side of the island.

But you would think they would welcome people coming over to the dark side from the bright side.....i.e. the North.....to spend some money in their bankrupt state.....or am I being a little harsh?

Ah, but making invaders or even "foreign collaborators" welcome? Heavens forbid!

Well we used the Black Knight crossing to visit the North last week, and both sides were very polite.the TRNC lady joked about the white slips of paper in my passport folder.Went back through Metahan and got asked where did you enter TRNC.South side staff gave a glance and waved me on.

Three weeks ago at Metehan, two GC women sitting making phone calls and reading magazine, one painting her nails, they barely glanced in our direction This was a Sunday, maybe they are rather more on the ball during the week?
