A few years ago I bought a product called `Deltamix 55 SC` for control of ants in cupboards and on work surfaces. Anyone know where I can buy it?

Mix Icing sugar and ant powder 1:1 and spoon it under kitchen units and behind appliances or directly on the nest if you find it.

We use that too Deniz1.....the ants really don't like it. We have also put a couple of those little ant traps you can get in the supermarkets, on the worksurfaces. They are meant to last 3 months I think. A combination of the two seems to have done the trick....and of course making sure that no food or crumbs are left out.....

Surely in this hot weather, shouldn't we be trying to help these poor insects, and putting down a little water for them, and maybe a little food for the stray ants.

So living creatures then, just a question of scale.

I wonder how many of the so called animal loves here used ant powder, fly spray etc, and would try to kill of a nice harmless rat in their garden?

Guilty as charged, on all three counts!

I also use disinfectants, antiseptics and antibiotics to ruthlessly kill of some of the tinier of God's creatures.

In other words, I manipulate the environment, including living creatures, to suit me and the people around me - Human beings

Good try though!

So you won't object to people using the scale in the other direction for pest/vermin removal.

If I could understand the point that you are trying to make, then I would answer it

Have another go!
