Warning! Possible Scam

I have just received an email supposedly sent by Karl Rugg (Ruggy the Auctioneer). It directs you to click on a link, but I would advise caution as the english used in the email is very 'dodgy'.

I may have got this wrong, so If anyone knows different, or is brave enough to open the link, please let me know the result.

As Marion says - ask him!

It is good practice when looking at an email, to check that the email address of the 'sender' matches their actual email address.

Scammers sometimes come across your email address on 'compromised' machines (not necessarily a machine belonging to the person that they are impersonating) and send out booby-trapped emails to (and purportedly from) all the email addresses on that machine.

If you are not absolutely sure that the email is actually from the named person, contact them before opening the email, and most definitely before clicking on any links.

I never click on links in emails!

I received 2 yesterday from somebody calling himself Chris Barber. Never heard of him, so he was rapidly blocked.

I have received 2 emails one a couple of days ago from a Chris Barber and today from Esta. I did not click on the linked document but from what I could tell both links were the same.

Esta sent their own e mail out last week warning they had been hacked and not to open the link in the other e mail, which many had received, purporting to be from them.

You mean to say that none of you have ever heard of Chris Barber (and his jazz band)...?
86 years old, and he's still going strong and touring...!!

I wouldn't actually mind that quite so much - it's the ones that offer to enlarge my breasts that discomfit me...

...I was looking to get them reduced!

I'm not very computer literate. Just email, read the forum, google a bit for info & do a bit of online shopping. I get lots of scam emails but I'm very careful what I open after almost making a boob once when I received one supposedly from my bank. How they get my email address I've not a clue
For months I'd get two or three very saucy emails each day some bordering on disgusting from ladies offering their services. They must have thought I was a male. Unable to block them as each one appeared to generate from a different email address. For whatever reason they have stopped arriving. I quite miss them!!!!

Hi
Yes i had been hacked from Lagos & lots of folk I know got e mails from me asking them to open the attachment .
Please don't open & delete & change your pass word as I've done .

I did put an alert on fb but must admit I forget Kibkom , so here it is .

Be warned & be careful in future .

Hope no one come to any harm .

Cheers ,
