Mobile phone repair
I've got a Nokia mobile phone, not a smartphone, but one where you slide the screen up and it reveals the keyboard. Unfortunately the screen has blanked out and I wonder whether anyone knows where I might get it repaired (if it's repairable!) or if there's a way of hard booting the phone to re-start the screen. You can hear the phone working and the welcome screen comes up when you start the phone, but then it goes blank. Any help would be appreciated as I like my mobile phone, I'm not one to throw it out without trying the kiss of life in some way or another.

Re: Mobile phone repair
If you have not tried already, try pulling the battery out and leave it out for a few minutes, then put it back and turn it on. This will at least 'fully cold reboot' the phone, which if you are very lucky, might restore it to normal working order.

Sadly it didn't work, but thanks for offering help, Erol. It's very frustrating as the screen opens when I switch the phone off but then goes blank. You can hear the phone working okay, but no pic which, obviously, is not much help at all. Sadly the hunt continues to see if I can find a repair place.

Hold down the green and red keys at the same time for a few minutes. This should bring up first the Nokia symbol and then a request for your PIN number. Enter the PIN and you should be back in business again. Failing this go to the Customer Service person in the main Turkcell office and they will often sort out problems for you.
