Has anyone used "Reimage plus" to check on virus etc on your computer. Just want to assure myself they are genuine.

Personally I would avoid them / it, just based on the number of links that detail 'how to remove reimage plus' when you google 'reimage plus'. Any program that is not easily removable from a windows system using the 'add remove' function in 'programs' under windows settings, but instead needs 'special' instructions to remove, is in my view suspicious enough to avoid installing on your machine. Just my personal opinion.

If you google 'reimage plus', you will see that is contains a virus which will infect your PC with pop-ups, and some other nasty stuff.

Thank you both very much for your comments. I think best if I leave alone!

Try using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, probably the best around. http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-A ... 04572.html

Or preferably go to the manufacturer's page to download, scrolling down to the bottom and selecting the FREE version - if downloading from CNet, be careful, scrutinise and search for (very small) pre-ticked boxes and other "offers". CNet, IObit (and other "download" sites) are notorious for adding on unwanted extras - whenever possible go to the manufacturer's site - less risk!
