Don`t seem to be any buses between Lapta and Girne today.

There is a bus protest in Kyrenia, avoid the area if you can. The roads are gridlocked.

Friend has just posted this on my Face Book time line.

Protesting at what?
The bad condition of the roads?
There are too many illegal taxi's
The fact that the Taxi drivers union will not allow the dolmus's to cover certain routes i.e. to Bellapais?
It's too hot?
They are being made to get their buses roadworthy?
Too many un roadworthy cars on the road?
Possibility of transferring road tax to higher fuel prices?
They are being asked to use their indicators?
The inadequacies of the Government?
The Belediye have moved their terminus 200 yards away?
They just fancied a day off?
All of the above?

Any more suggestions?

I only wanted to know why there were no buses, not trying to put the transport system to rights.

As far as i know the buses are now running in the Catalkoy area
