Ashamed to be British

Frankly reading what is going now, and in particular the rise of xenophobic attacks, I feel ashamed to be British.
Whilst I may not agree with you, I can accept the votes from Brexit people who made an informed choice after considering all the facts, but to all of you who voted for Brexit on the basis of propaganda that you will "Get Your Country Back" and get rid of immigrants, well I am afraid you are very much mistaken. Indeed if Britain comes out of the EU then the land/sea border will no longer be in France, and if I were they I would let them flow across the English Channel too from Dunkirk, Calais or wherever. At this moment they are contained with only a trickle, in comparison to the potential for masses, making it across. So what is your plan?
To all of you that voted for Brexit on the basis that you would see a massive regeneration of the NHS, well you ALL now know that this was blatant mis-selling to the ignorant and easily manipulated; By Nigel Farage's own admission it was a mistake, or in honesty a lie to whip up populist votes. Such a lie is, in my opinion, equidistant with being able to return something to a shop, as being not as described and getting a full refund. So in this case another referendum, and if you are against that, one wonders why?
To those of you who voted for Brexit without giving real consideration to the facts, who are now waving your flags and declaring Independence Day and posting insults and jeering on this forum and all over, you will not be celebrating for long. This is not going to generate more jobs for anyone, far from it, people will lose their jobs. Of course many areas of the UK have now woken up to the fact that they will no longer be propped up by the EU either.... Shame! Cornwall being a prime example. Never mind, perhaps they can export Cornish Pasties and Cream Teas to China then?
And you people that live in the TRNC waiving your flags of nostalgia, just watch your spending power being cut too,
affecting others around you as you tighten your belts. Yes better you sell up now if you have got your Deeds, and go back to your "motherland" to drink beer, and talk to all your other disenfranchised friends down your local boozer.
I just hope that the MPs will vote against this misguided advisory referendum, even if it means voting against their constituents. The Scottish MPs will certainly veto it, and have a very strong case now to break up the United Kingdom. Meanwhile so much damage has been done, and there appears no strategy or plan to move forward, despite all the up talking, in order to try and steady the global markets.
As for Boris Johnson, well frankly he only had his self interests at heart to get in to No. 10 Downing Street..... Once in, he might even want to U Turn, given the wish wash he is now coming out with, about there being no hurry, and that the United Kingdom will always be part of Europe, talking about free trade, but the United Kingdom is not going to get that without free movement of people, because you cannot have your cake and eat it! So much for the Brexit talk then.
Meanwhile the EU want us out ASAP and will not even discuss the way forward until Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty is evoked, and this is irrevocable. The United Kingdom was stronger IN than out and a well respected and great force of power within that Union, and indeed the world. Now it appears the Country will have little say at all. Now take the GREAT out of Britain.
Found this blog, and could not agree with the sentiments more....
