Where did the post go?

A post entitled Ashamed to be British disappeared as I was about to reply.
Did a moderator take it down?
If so why?

It appears to me that a certain moderator did, and I have sent them a message about it, that has not been replied to either.
I thought this was about democracy? Or perhaps someone did not like the post? I wonder why?

So if your views oppose theirs they censor you, that is outrageous

Here you are, a thread entitled "
Ashamed to be British"... Post away to your heart's content...
p.s. - Actually, I've heard that if 'they' don't like what you write, they don't just censor you, they come around with baseball bats, while you're asleep, and break all of your bones!
It's true!

That was not the post Keith Caley, albeit with the same title. I have sent you a copy Niceone, and await the certain moderator's response as to why they removed same. The opening para starting with "Whilst I may not agree with you, I can accept the votes from Brexit people who made an informed choice after considering all the facts.... " So as to clearly define that the said moderator or anyone else who made their choice on that basis did not feel offense. The rest was as it is, and whilst many will still say "live with it", some may begin to question their motivations.

Hi, I seem to have noticed, on numerous occasions, that Moderators have explained the Forum Policy and procedure for dealing with posts which attract complaints etc.
A single Moderator would not, in my estimation, permanently remove a post or thread on his or her own, but would consult with a majority of other Moderators to decide the best way to deal with said post.
Anyone who is not aware of this is quite simply not paying attention!

To save discussion, the removal of posts has been explained a number of times but as a reminder:-
Firstly moderators are not permanently on line. Therefore pm's to moderators may not be answered immediately. If your post is on your outbox, then the person you pm'd is not on line or has not read the post. When it is in your send box the post has been read. The poster who started this topic has been replied to.
In this instance the post was taken down following a report made by a Kibkom member, who found the wording offensive. There was and is no censorship. Sometimes the moderator who picked up the report is unable to decide whether or not a report is valid so if a post is reported as offensive it is better to take it down - it is then placed in a pending area so that all the moderators can review and decide whether the report is valid or not. Sometimes we don't all agree and it is then up to the forum owner to decide. Once discussed the post may either deleted permanently, the poster may be asked to edit or amend the post or the post may come back on the forum with no changes.
I hope this clearly explains how things work.
Again the forum rules ask that members respect the decision of the moderators and also moderators do not have to explain their actions.

Thank you for the clarification, although I did not see anything wrong with the original post
Thanks also to Kerry for the childish response, I am quite happy with my Irish Passport

Contained within the new thread of 28/6/2016 entitled "Ashamed to be British", was the question:
At this moment they are contained with only a trickle, in comparison to the potential for masses, making it across. So what is your plan?
I have since submitted an amendment to the answer, with the words:
"Camps, such as those currently in Calais for the new arrivals, or perhaps something more sinister?"
Same meaning, but without mentioning a subject that one Kibromer was offended by and took personally. I trust that removal of this reference will be less offensive. Still awaiting feedback now from Moderators. I have seen some quite offensive posts on this forum from Brexiteers, but all is fair in a democracy is it not? And clearly there are others who have a different view, and maybe even those that would like to change their view after giving further thought. A topic for discussion. Thank you.

The original post is still in pending and being reviewed by the moderators after a report was received.
Nearly all the moderators have other jobs/activities etc and are not on the forum all the time, consequently there can sometimes be a delay before any feedback is received. No other reports have been received about other postings.
Hope that explains things.
