An unwanted Brexit of a personal kind - RIP Alan Stuart

Farewell Alan Stuart - A happy day in the photo, but no more for now. Sadly the ring on Alan's wedding finger now adorns my hand as I experienced a personal Brexit I would rather had waited at least another three years. My very British husband has exited Britain , the EU, the earth and my life as he was laid to rest in Green Hills Cemetery yesterday, ending 22 years of togetherness and a friendship stretching back some sixty years. R.I.P Alan Stuart - no one can ever replace you, and I thank you for some exciting years filled with fun, adventure, love and laughter, and I give thanks not only for those, but for the fact that your end was sudden and with little suffering. As the angel in the Dream of Gerontius sang 'Farewell, but not for ever' - although as much as i love you, I would rather it was not too soon. xxxx

This is to say a deep thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind thoughts and words. It is amazing that so many people are b eing so supportive, especially when Alan felt that virtually no one knew him!!!
Thanks so much all of you, but of course due to the anonymity of many on the Forum, I have no idea who many of you are. That doesn't make your kind wishes of any lesser value, but I can't thank you personally!
Some I know who you are and I can put a picture of your face to go with the words, but to the others I say a 'thank you' without knowing to whom I am speaking.
Many have said they would haqve come to the funeral, but again, a deep thank you for wishing to show support, but Alan was buried in a very small private way - one which he would have wanted.
We now have a double plot and when the day comes for me to join him, I shall have, as they say, ' the upper hand' - as many wives do.
Thanks again.
