My neighbour called in yesterday and said the car port he has started having built to cover his drive in has been stopped by the Beledeye. They said he cant build it on his own property. I have had one for three years and so has my next door neighbour. So far I havnt been notified but I am now worried about it. He is going to the office today to try and get clarification. We each have our own kocan its not shared.

As far as I'm aware you are not allowed to add a permanent structure to your property until you have final approval and your house is added to your Kocan which is for the land. You will be asked to remove it when you apply for final approval. A permanent structure is one with a tiled roof

I understandthat you and your neighbours actually have Koçans for your properties.
In these circumstances the Belediyeler do not seem to take much interest in 'small additions' unless they actually receive a report / complaint, in which case, they are 'duty bound' to take action.
Perhaps he fell out with someone, and they are exacting their revenge!
Your main concern, I would imagine is that when your neighbour goes along to wrangle with the Belediye, he says "Well my neighbours have got car ports, and you haven't told
them to take them down!"... and the Belediye start taking an unwelcome interest in yours...
Just keep your fingers crossed!
If the worst comes to the worst, you might be able to apply for retrospective planning permission for your structure, but approval would depend on it being compliant with the regulations, and not too close to your boundary, etc...

As I mentioned in message 2, the key question is do you have final approval. This happened to a friend of mine who had their own kocan for the land and added a car port with a tiled roof. To get final approval they had to get an architect to submit new plans with the car port shown.

I think that Deniz is more concerned about the possibility of the Belediye ordering her to remove her car port!

We have all got final approval my car port does not have a tiled roof although it is a solid one.Strangely all the houses on the other side of the road were built with them but theirs are at the side mine is in front.

Did you add the car port before you got final approval. If you did. I don't think you have anything to worry about because it would have been passed with the car port erected and it would have been noted. Perhaps because it doesn't have a tiled roof it isn't classed as permanent. If it was erected after you received final approval then I suggest you seek advice from your Architect, but only if you are told to take it down. In the meantime sit tight.
I think you will be ok.

Wrogers.
You are not allowed to add any structure to the property before you have final inspection and the Kocan in your hand.
I put up a work shop in the corner of the garden, small, but got a grilling from tapu about the garage I had built.
I did get away with it due to a friend and torpil.
I will leave you to translate the last word.
