Hi
Now that the UK has come out of the EU
What i would like to know is
If anyone wants to travel to the TRNC on holiday
Will they have to get a visa like you do when you visit Turkey
Also if you are a temporary resident, and who doesn't have a residency stamp, because of being over 60 years of age
Will you also need to get a Visa to come into TRNC
And if you have temporary residency you obviously don't need a visa is that correct
Your views would be much appreciated

Re: Visa's
We are not out of the EU yet and after article 50 is invoked it will take a further 2 years, so nothing has changed and won't do for the foreseeable future. Relax, don't worry
As I got older I congratulated myself on my tolerance..... Now I realise I just don't give a "ooops"

Re: Visa's
Don't worry at all - for TRNC to require visas it must open embassies or consulates in all countries from which they would welcome visitors. That might be a bit much for them - although there is a representative office in London and one in Strasbourg.
Further, why would they change the practice of visa on entry? The 90 day stamp you get on arrival is a visa not a residency permit.
Finally, TRNC is not in the EU per se and we Brits are welcome here as Brits not because we are EU citizens.
So I can't see anything changing here because of Brexit - they need us Brits even though some individuals don't always show it.
The only slightly dodgy aspect of it all, and it has been said many times by many people on Kibkom, is that the free passage without residency for over 60s is a concession not a law and a future government could change it.

Re: Visa's
The vast majority of countries around the world offer a UK passport a 'visa on entry'.
This won't change.
You won't in the future need a visa for European countries, but if you do need a VOE, see the glass as half full, it's a means of controlling those that are not particularly wanted in a country, and those on terrorist watch lists etc.
