Am trying to do a first time online transfer from Creditwest to the Halifax bank in the uk but in the dropdown box where it says "bank" cannot find the Halifax, can see hsbc and royal bank of scotland but no hbos or bank of scotland which owns the halifax bank. Would normally ask one of the girls in creditwest but shut for 3 days, Is anyone familiar with this type of transfer to the halifax regardless of which bank you might be with in NC ?.

Has anyone done a bank transfer to the Halifax in the uk, just trying to find out how to send it as on the bank dropdown i cant see the Bank of Scotland let alone the Halifax.

Oh ok thanks, looks like i will have to wait till nesrin gets back on friday.

Sorry for the mystery I posted that the banks were shut all week but then I looked on another thread & saw that they were open on Friday!

Thanks, will get in touch with nesrin on friday just a bit annoying thats all as no way to make a transfer.

Would be interested to know whether you can do an on line transfer to a UK bank....plus what banks in UK you can transfer to.......plus charges etc.

Be good to have an update if possible.

Ìts been a while since we did it with Credit West, I think the first time you do it you enter all the Iban # ect,then it shows has a option the next time.

will give it another go tomorrow with iban number and see how it goes but it does say that you can either use account number or iban number but the whole point is to where do i send funds to on the bank drop down {creditwest}

Have done money transfer many times but always via email with bank, now have online banking so wanted to try it but getting nowhere.
