ATLAS JET

When travelling with Atlasjet from Ercan to Luton London and you have to change planes at Istanbul you are 'in transit' as is your hold luggage. What procedures do you have to follow? are there 'transit' lounges where you go through to? or have to go through all the x-ray scanners and searches again.
Advice would be very welcome thank you

I could be wrong & stand to be corrected .. The airline where you change planes is Turkish Airlines ..
Flying with Atlasjet the plane lands in Turkey you stay on the plane which then carries on to the UK ..

You are correct. You do not get off plane with Atlas, it is Turkish Airlines and I dont think they go to Luton, only Pegasus and Atlas

We flew back with Atlas and returned and had to get off the plane both ways. All I am interested in is there a transit lounge.

When kk6004 merged into kk1016 you didn't have to change but now the onward flight is kk1018@21:30 you do.

If you are an HSBC Premier or Advantage member, there is s small lounge upstairs in the transit area. It's not the poshest but it is free with snacks and tea, coffee, booze etc. No shower facility as in other lounges in the airport though...
